Classificazione: 1^ classe, 50 83 11-78 000 nA (1980), 001-199 nA (1982), 200-249 nA (1983); la vettura 11-78 016 nA è stata declassata a 2^ classe (21-87 790 nB). Esiste un prototipo con cassa in acciaio inox, di proprietà Breda, marcato 50 83 11-78 299 nA. Queste carrozze hanno una capienza di 62 posti, divisi in due compartimenti. 2^ classe: 50 83 21-78 000-073 nB (1982), 074-690 nB (1983), 691-730 nB (1985). Il prototipo, marcato in origine 50 83 21-78 000 nBz è stato trasformato in carrozza esposizioni 60 83 89-78 000 Vc; le unità 21-78 019 nB, 097 nB e 150 nB sono state trasformate, negli anni 1991 e 1993, in carrozze per il treno esposizioni (89-78 001 Vid, 89-78 002 e 003 Ves). Possono raggiungere la velocità massima di 160 km/h, possiedono un vano bagagliai attrezzato per trasporto biciclette e una ritirata; hanno una disponibilità di 60 posti a sedere. Classificazione: 50 83 82-78 000-149 npBD (1982), 150-169 npBD (1985); a questi 2 lotti va ad aggiungersene un terzo, ricavato dalla trasformazione di 6 carrozze MDVE intermedie “50 83 21-79” (50 83 82-78 170-175 npBD). Con l’aggiunta dell’aria condizionata, codeste vetture vengono classificate come 50 83 82-87.
